And our feet have not touched the ground. We were delighted to be asked to be one of only 5 shows in Park Theatre’s ‘Pick of the Fringe’ and were even more thrilled to sell out all our performances in 24 hours. Being a sell out is both wonderful and frustrating. Of course… OF COURSE… as a producer you want to sell out. But you also want the production to be seen and turning people away is really hard!
And then The Pleasance has invited us to be part of their ‘Best of Edinburgh Season’ in November which is thrilling. And it turns out that we sold out so fast there that they have invited us to put in an extra performance as a matinee on Friday 15 November. Leave work a little early and see Wireless Operator. What a great way to start the weekend!
Now the work starts. We’re sifting through invitations – to New York, to festivals, to theatres in London and outside and seeing what we can make fit. We are talking about developing the production and The Pleasance have invited us back to Edinburgh to a bigger venue. There’s talk of a radio version. We’re discussing a tour. We are trying to get to Canada, New Zealand, the world. To infinity and beyond. Ad astra. Watch this space.
Now. The pigeon. You thought I had forgotten. You thought I was tantalisingly teasing you. You were wrong. I haven’t forgotten the pigeon.
